10 Kgs, 9 Wks, 1 Resolution.

Do you remember how this blog started? You probably weren’t here back then, but the original name of this blog, back in April 2016, was Mai’s Journey to Fitness. I started this blog with the aim of sharing my weight loss journey because I thought I had hit rock bottom and I was determined to change that. The first entry was called Here we go again! The short version of why I’m here and guess what? This entry should be called the same because that wasn’t rock bottom.. this is.

I’m about to turn 30, I have 82 days left of my 20’s and I’m still overweight. Last Tuesday, I stepped onto the scale and saw tears coming out of my eyes when I realised I had gone back to two-years ago weight: 88Kg. So painfully close to 90kg and at the same time so far away from my 2017 New Year resolution of reaching a healthy weight by the time I say hello to the 3rd floor.

I have tried many things in the past, all kind of diets and programs. You name it, I’ve done it (except surgery). Nothing has really worked. But enough is enough. I’m sick of worrying about how puffy my cheeks are, or the double chin that comes out in every selfie or the idea of not having a 30th birthday bash because I don’t want to be the fat girl who couldn’t keep a promise and couldn’t lose the weight. This has to stop.

Today I joined a new program, Vision Personal Training. I know a couple of people who have got great results out of it and who couldn’t recommend the program more. So this is a new start. A new race against time to be at least a bit fitter by the time I have to blow the candles again.

It’s not going to easy, but what thing that we have really wanted in life has come the easy way?

Ps: Looking for recommendations for healthy snacks to eat between meals, any ideas?
